James Pekarski Sr.

James W. Pekarski Sr. of Bristol Township, PA, died Monday, March 30, 2015. He was 75. Born in Coudersport, PA, Jim was the beloved husband of Jennie Pekarski; and the father of Kimberly Rowlands, Anthony (Tina) Pekarski Sr., Jerome Pekarski Sr., Wayne Pekarski, Alicia Pekarski, and Kalina Pekarski (Julio Maldonado) all of Bristol Twp. Jim was also survived by his brothers Jerome Dubots (Sandy), and George Dubots (Stephanie); and his sister Frances Carpenter all of Coudersport, PA; and his grandchildren Jason and Megan Rowlands, Anthony, Ryan, and Alana Pekarski, Jerome, Zachary, and Tyler Pekarski, Lindsey Davies, Wayne Pekarski, Megan Cannon, Anthony Maldonado, and Faith Pekarski McCoy all of Bristol Twp.; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents George and Helen Dubots; his brother Joe Dubots; his son James W. Pekarski Jr.; and grandson Justin Cannon. Jim was a 1958 graduate of Coudersport High School, and retired from the PA Turnpike Commission. He was owner and operator of several service stations in the area. Jim was Chairman of the Bristol Twp. Civil Service Commission, was a past member of the Bristol Twp. Board of Commissioners serving 16 years, and also served as a member of the Lower Bucks Joint Municipal Authority. He was very active in the Bristol Twp. Girls' Softball League and the Levittown International Little League. He was a member of several organizations including Knights of Columbus Loyal Order of Moose, and Sons of Veterans of Foreign War. Relatives and friends may attend his viewing on Monday, 6pm, at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol Oxford Valley Road, Levittown, PA 19057. A Funeral Service will begin at 8pm in the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will also be held on May 23, 1pm, at St. Eulalia Church in Coudersport, PA. Burial will follow at St. Eulalia Cemetery.
