STOW - Barbara E. Filipic, (nee Culek), 67, died April 17, 2023.

Born in Cleveland, she was a resident of Maple Heights until she moved to Stow in 2009. Barbara had been employed with Heinen's as a baker, retiring in 2005. She enjoyed gardening and taking trips to the beach with her family to Topsail Island, NC.

Preceded in death by her husband, James Filipic, and her parents, Kenneth and Jacqueline Culek, she is survived by her children, Kimberly Lessey and James Filipic; grandchildren, Nathan and Nicholas; sister, Patricia Stuczynski; brothers, Kenneth (Darleen), Thomas (Joyce), Kevin (Jennifer), and Michael (DeAnn).

A funeral service will be held 12 PM, Friday, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, OH 44224. Friends may call from 10 AM to service time on Friday at the funeral home. Interment at All Saints Cemetery.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society www.cancer.org (REDMON, STOW, 330-688-6631)
