Barbara Faith Forsythe

Barbara left her earthly life December 3, 2010. Barbara was born on November 10, 1938 in Calvin, Okl-ahoma to Thelma Catherine Cunningham and Clarence Homer Cunningham, the fourth child and the fourth girl in a family of eight children. Barbara graduated from Wewoka High School in Wewoka, OK. She graduated from Oklahoma's College for Women in Chick-asha, OK. On August 12, 1961 she married Homer Leroy Forsythe, Jr. in Holdenville, OK. She is survived by her husband, Homer of Plano, TX; her son, Tony Forsythe of McKinney, TX; his wife Susan and daughter, Desiree'; son Bill Forsythe of Murphy, TX, his wife, Cindy, and children; Duncan, Meredith, and Sam; son Michael Forsythe of Austin, TX; his wife Renee and children: Lucas, Mitchell, Maria, and Arianna. Barbara Forsythe was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Neva Alt, and three brothers, Buddy, Bryant and John Cunningham. She is survived by two sisters, Velda Hough and Enide Adair; and one brother, David Cunningham. Barbara taught English and Poetry at Putnam City Original High School in OKC, OK, Spring Creek in Houston, TX and Plano High School, Plano, TX. She was also a legal secretary for Leo Winters and Buss Cloud in Oklahoma City. She was an editor for writers and poets and was an excellent poet and writer herself. Viewing will be held on Sunday December 5, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Ted Dickey Funeral Home in East Plano. A Rosary Service will be held at Sevier Funeral Home in Chick-asha, OK Monday December 6, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. Mass will be at the Holy Name Catholic Church in Chickasha, Oklahoma at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday December 7, 2010. Interment in Rose Hill Cemetery at Chickasha.
