Barbara "Barbie" Annette Harton (Kirchen), 72, passed away peacefully in the early morning of August 12, 2025, in Florida, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 10, 1953, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Wilbur L. Bittle and Helen J. Kirchen (Quist) and was later lovingly adopted by Howard G. Kirchen.

Barbie retired from Fisher Body, where she built many friendships that lasted a lifetime. She was an active member of Ladies Auxiliary 6132 and cared deeply about supporting veterans. Known for her adventurous spirit, she loved to travel, especially to Clearwater, where the palm trees and big beaches brought her joy. She had a knack for gambling - and winning big - and was always ready to raise a Bud Light in celebration with friends.

Those who knew Barbie will remember her warm smile, her compassion, and the way she cared deeply for those around her. She brought light, laughter, and love wherever she went.

Barbie was preceded in death by all of her parents. She is survived by her partner Con Virgin; her son, Jeremy Harton (Kathy), and daughter, Jennifer Harton; her six grandchildren - April Harton, Sara Rutledge (William), Ashley Neal (Mike), Joshua Harton, Sabrina Huizenga (Casey), and Samantha Butler - and her eight great-grandchildren: Hailey Harton, Billy Rutledge, Gabe Harton, Thomas Rutledge, Jasmine Rutledge, Alex Rutledge, Paisley Neal, and Lukas Harton.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date and will be held in Lansing, Michigan, at VFW Post 6132. Friends and loved ones are invited to gather, share memories, and honor Barbie's incredible life.

Her smile, laughter, and kindness will forever be missed but will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
