Barbara Jean Holzer, age 81, of Minnesota City, MN, met the Lord on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse, WI.

Barbara was born March 7, 1942, the daughter of Elroy and Violet Masepohl. Barb graduated from Winona High School. She met the love of her life when he walked through the door with his Navy uniform at the drycleaners where she worked. She was united in marriage to Robert Holzer on September 26, 1964 in Winona, MN. She worked many retail jobs throughout her career, including K-Mart and Watkins. Barb was most proud of her role as a wife, mother and homemaker, raising her four children. Barb enjoyed flowers and gardening, and spending time outdoors. She was a generous woman, and well known for giving beautiful cards and wrapped gifts. She was a member of the local Red Hat club, and loved to socialize. Barb enjoyed traveling, including five trips to Hawaii with her husband and family. Barb had a strong faith in the Lord, which was an important part of her life.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Marge Brabbit, Don Masepohl, Jack Masepohl, and Dorothy Dybas. 

She is survived by her husband, Robert of Minnesota City; children Mike (Billie Jo) of Trempealeau, WI, Marty of Red Wing, MN, Holly (Kip) Buck of Dennison, MN, and Heidi (Chris) Enders of Seattle, WA; 4 grandchildren: Sam, Camery, Matthew, and Tyler Holzer; sister, Beverly (Micky) Colbenson of Rushford, MN; brothers-in-law, Mike Dybas, and Ron Brabbit; and several dear friends.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at 11am at Hoff Celebration of Life Center in Winona. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Winona.
