Barbara (Bobbi) J. Hunter age 71, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri passed away peacefully in her home on September 1st 2023. She was born on October 30, 1951, in Kansas City Missouri, to Herman and Frances Klasinski (Szychowski) and raised in Raytown with her siblings. She attended St. Bernadette’s grade school and graduated from Raytown High School in 1970. After graduation she went on to become a dental hygienist and work in various administrative roles for commercial real estate and health care offices throughout her lifetime. In 1975 she married Joe Jackson and in 1977 gave birth to a daughter Amy. She married Larry D. McConnell(and was blessed with two sons Russell and Steve) in 1981 and they raised their family in Raytown before moving to Lee’s Summit in 1994.
Throughout her years she was active in Lakewood Oaks Golf Club and enjoyed traveling, fishing, reading, golf, pickle ball, shopping, and most of all enjoyed her time with family and friends. After the death of her husband of more than 30 years Larry McConnell in 2011, she remarried Bob Hunter in 2016, they resided in The Villages, FL off and on for the past 6 years.
She had a very beautiful soul, she was a thoughtful, gentle, and caring person throughout her life. She will be remembered as a wonderful Wife, Mom, Mother in Law, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and friend to everyone who met her.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Herman and Frances Klasinski, her Husbands, Joe Jackson, Larry "Mac" McConnell, her Sisters (Patricia Pepper and Karen Peterson), Brother in law (Greg Pepper),and numerous other family members.
She leaves behind her siblings, John(brother) & Bonnie Klasinski(sister in law) of Wyoming, Jim(brother) & Christine(sister in law) Klasinski of Kansas City, her children, (son) Russell McConnell of Independence, MO, (son)Steve and Kim(daughter in law) of Blue Springs, MO., (daughter) Amy Martin and her husband Jeff(son in law) and of Olathe, KS, Step Son Tim Aholt of Columbia, MO. Five grandchildren, Jordan and husband Michael Noice of Blue Springs, MO, Bailey McConnell of Kansas City, Mo., Lillie McConnell of Blue Springs, Mo. Braeden Aholt of Columbia, Mo. ,Chase McConnell of Independence, Mo. and One great grandson Owen "Mac" Noice of Blue Springs MO.
She will be greatly missed and always remembered.
