Barbara Klingman Obituary
She graduated from North Hunterdon Regional High School in Annandale, New Jersey, in 1962 and later returned to Burlington to attend cosmetology school. Her early years were spent between Vermont and New Jersey, where she was surrounded by extended family and friends and developed a lifelong love for New England.
Barbara embraced adventure and found joy in scuba diving and all things water-related. She especially treasured time spent cruising with her husband Dennis and close friends Barbara and Bob Feinberg. Her fearless spirit and sharp wit left a lasting impression on those around her.
A talented artist, Barbara expressed herself through painting, ceramics, sewing, and jewelry-making. Her handcrafted jewelry became cherished pieces within her community, each one a testament to her eye for beauty and dedication to her craft. She nurtured friendships with warmth and strength that endured through the years.
Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dennis Klingman; and her son, Thomas Gates (wife Cendell Cook). In her final days, she found comfort in the thought of being reunited with Thomas.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughters Betty Gates (Lance Berman) and Barbara Gwinn (Chad Gwinn); granddaughters Emily Gates and Chloe Gwinn; stepson George Gates III; granddaughter April Gates (John Kroll) and great-grandson Damian Gates; stepdaughter Kelly Klingman and her children Reese Klingman, Kristina Klingman, and Brooks Klingman; and stepdaughter Kristin Klingman.
A joint Celebration of Life honoring both Barbara and her son Thomas John Gates will be held in June at Frigates Waterfront Bar & Grill, 400 US Hwy 1, North Palm Beach, Florida 33408.
Barbara's legacy lives on through the beauty she created and the love she shared. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her.

It was a sad day yesterday when I found Barbara´s obituary. I have many memories of her along with Dennis. I also have memories of her children. I will miss you Barb. I love you and will treasure sll the memories I have with the Klingman family.

After a day of many tears of so many memories of Barbara. She was 3 weeks younger than me and after being together in grade school thru H.S. and calling each other on our birthdays for the past 50 plus yrs. God has given Barbara peace and freedom from pain and worry. May you Rest in Peace Cuz. Will miss you but will see you soon
