Barbara M. Matthias

Barbara M. "Barb" Matthias, 73, of Germansville, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2025, in the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Alfred A. and Grace B. (Zellner) Horn. Barbara graduated from Northwestern Lehigh High School and later graduated from Lehigh County Community College with a degree in licensed practical nursing. For over 20 years, she was an LPN at Cedarbrook, Allentown, until retiring. She was a faithful member of Heidelberg Union Church, Slatington, where she was involved in many church activities. Barbara enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with family, relatives and friends over the years. Survivors: Sister, Linda Moyer of Germansville; nephew, Edwin "Sonny" Moyer of Lehighton; and many cousins. She was preceded in death by brothers, Jeffery and Alfred "Bill" Horn, and a nephew, Mark Moyer. Services: Celebration of life, 11 A.M. Wednesday, June 4, 2025, Heidelberg Union Church, 5187 Irvin Rd., Slatington, PA 18080. Call 10-11 A.M. in the church. The Rev. Michelle G.
