Barbara Carol McWilliams passed away peacefully, Monday morning, May 12th, 2025, at the age 0f 88. Barbara had been a long-time resident of the Danville, Ca community...

Born in Portland, Oregon as the oldest of two children to Ethel (Malsey) Dunn and Edward Dunn where she attended school and graduated from Washington High School...... at the age of 15 and was able to then go to Community College, studying accounting and finance, then starting her career at US Bank in Portland. This is where she met her husband of almost 60 years, Dean McWilliams, introduced by his sister, also named Barbara, who was working at the same bank.

Barbara and Dean were married on June 16th,1962 in Gresham, Oregon having three children. Two sons, Dave and Brad in Gresham, Oregon and a daughter, Amy in Alamo, California.

With Dean's career, he and Barbara and family lived all over the USA living in many homes, traveling the nation and seeing all that it had to offer before settling in Danville in 1976. Barbara loved the travel, and her and her family saw all that was to see across all 50 of the United States including camping, hiking, fishing, boating, water and snow skiing, making sure all was taken care of with the family.

Barbara was an avid bowler almost her whole life winning many tournaments early on, a supporter of both Girls and Boy Scouts, involved in all aspects of Scouting for her children along with PTA within all the school districts that her children attended across the country while attending Church and supporting Children's and Youth Groups. After settling in Danville, Barbara and Dean joined the San Ramon Valley United Methodist Church where Barbara was a supporter and member of Stephen's Ministries, Christ Care Group, Bowling League as well as volunteering with the Ladies Groups at senior and care homes in the area... But her passion was the Church Choir where Barbara was involved for many years and sang her heart out.

Barbara is survived by her son David Thomas McWilliams (Andrea) of San Ramon, CA, daughter Amy McWilliams Hess (Troy) of Concord, CA, granddaughter Holli Guillen (Jesus) of Berkeley, CA and grandson Jet McWilliams of San Ramon, CA, Sister Deanna Mason (Tom) of Gresham, OR, and sister- in-law Marge McWilliams of Pleasant Hill, CA,18 nieces and nephews and many grand and great grand nieces and nephews.
