Barbara Ann (Ward) Monson

Barbara Ann Ward Monson, 74, of Independence passed away Monday, January 9, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare of Florence. She retired from Cindus Corporation after 25 years of employment and was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Independence. Survivors include her husband of 57 years Ralph W. Monson; daughter Jennifer (Terry) Groves of Sparta; sons Jay (Doreen) Monson of Springdale, OH, Robert (Gina) Monson of Independence, and James Anthony (Bonita) Monson of Independence; sister Connie Coffey of Brooksville, KY; brothers Donnie Ward and Ricky Lynn Ward both of Brooksville, KY; 16 Grandchildren; and 13 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by children Daniel Ray Monson, Deborah Kay Monson, and Michael Wayne Monson; parents Maxwell and Mildred (Wood) Ward; and siblings Buddy Ward, Ronnie Ward and Donna Ward. Visitation will be at St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Independence, Thursday, January 12, 2012 from 4 to 7 PM and Friday January 13, 2012 from 10 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon also at St. Cecilia Church.
