Barbara E. Newhouse

Barbara E. Newhouse Hagerstown, Md. Barbara Ellen Newhouse, 77, of Fountain Head, Hagerstown, Md., died Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, at Meritus Medical Center. Born Dec. 13, 1934, in Ypsilanti, Mich., she was the daughter of the late Bayard B. and Agnes Kenworthy Struble. She was preceded in death by her husband, Loren Paul "Skip" Newhouse, Oct. 11, 2004. She was a member of Church of the Holy Trinity. She is survived by two sons, Dirk A. Newhouse and wife, Pam, of Ligonier, and Kevin P. Newhouse and companion, Daniel V. Gossard, of Hagerstown; one sister, Judy Trentham, of Traverse City, Mich.; and three granddaughters, Elizabeth and Sarah Newhouse and Jessica Hinze. She was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Townsend; and one brother, Robert Struble. Private graveside will be held at the conveniences of the family. A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, at Church of the Holy Trinity, 17805 Oak Ridge Drive, Hagerstown, Md. The Rev. Marilyn E. Washburn will officiate.
