Barbara Nicholson Obituary

Barbara Jean was special. From her middle grade years to the time of her debilitating stroke, Barb ""went to work"" at Rescare of Stark County Day Programs. She later became a resident of Rescare Group where many special friendships were made. Barb is remembered by her family for having a passion for music, secret pinches and washing dishes. She was very meticulous about where her things were placed. On every visit, Barb would never fail to ask about what each family member was doing. The color pink, perfumed lotions, painted fingernails and strawberry milkshakes were a few of her favorite things!
Barb is preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Fred and Bobbie Lee Riddle and stepfather, Reese Young. She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Ann Young; two sisters, Karen (Robert) Madison of Twinsburg, OH and Cynthia (Mark) Smith of Austin, TX; one brother, Jason (Nasha) Young of Medina, OH; one uncle, Edward (Anne) Riddle; two aunts Ola Riddle and Gloria Walker; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Friends may call on Monday, April 4, 2022, from 11:30 am until 12:00 pm at Second Baptist Church,
820 E. Patterson St. Alliance, Oh 44601. Service will immediately follow and will be live streamed at
sommervillefuneralservice.com. Interment Alliance City Cemetery
