All of her colleagues at Trinity Western University owe an eternal debt of gratitude to our dear friend and ally Barb, who fought so courageously for the well-being of faculty and staff at our school. Her dedication to high standards in teaching and scholarship, her sparkling wit and wisdom, and her unfailing friendship will always inspire those of us whose lives she enlightened. While it is painful to feel her absence, we rejoice in gratitude for having known her presence. May God bless her family at this difficult time.

Barbara Pell was the receipient of the Leading Women Award for Education, Training and Development in February 2008 in Toronto. As Co-chair of Leading Women and along with a few hundred Canadian leaders, heard a presentation of the passion, heart and accomplishments of Barbara Pell. Even on that day of honour, Barbara, inspired dreams! She lived out her purpose with dignity, clarity and influence. To leave a legacy, one must live a legacy....Barbara has accomplished both. My prayers are with the family.

Barbara and I were sojourners and I will be forever grateful. Barbara was compelled by the call of Christ on her life to serve and she did so with grace, dignity and integrity. Her wisdom and passion for learning were a gift to many. All of us who knew Barbara are better because of it! To God be the Glory for a life well lived and may the family know His comfort at this time. Heaven is especially close this day.

We are saddened to learn of Barbara's passing and extend our sincerest sympathies to her family. Barbara was a vivacious and learned lady who, along with her husband, Captain (ret'd) Archie Pell, graced many of our regimental family gatherings. We are comforted by her strong Christian faith as she continues her journey.

We will miss Barbara. She lit the world with a special light. I especially value my knowing her as Barbara and AJ were one of my most valued customers who treated me as a friend rather then an employee.
God be with her and her family.
