Barbara Allen Pocius, 64 of Buffalo, formerly of Houston, entered into rest Wednesday, June 12, 2013. A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Buffalo Cemetery with Rev. Ralph Hale officiating.

Ms. Pocius was born October 7, 1948 to John Paul Pocius and Dora Mae Smith Pocius in Houston, Texas. Barbara loved to read books and work puzzles of all kinds. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Ms. Pocius was preceded in death by her parents; brother, John Paul Pocius, Jr.; and brother, Gerald Lambert Pocius.

Survivors include her nephews, John Paul Pocius and wife Jean; Curtis Pocius and wife Cherie; Clayton Pocius and wife Diane; and Gerald Scott Pocius; nieces, Ronda Luce and husband Keith; and Joey Patino. Several grandnieces, grandnephews and one great niece also survive.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials can be made to Stewart Memorial United Methodist Church, Buffalo, Texas.

Arrangements entrusted to Adams Funeral Home, Marlin, Texas.

My sincere condolences to Barbara's family. We were childhood friends - grew up across the street from each other on Bucknell. She was my maid of honor in 1970, and we kept in touch over the years by mail, then finally got to visit in January this year at her apartment in Buffalo. We had so much fun going thru old pictures and telling old stories. I'm going to miss her and getting her letter at Christmas. She was very special and very much part of the fabric of my life, as were her parents and brothers. Godspeed, my friend.
