Barbara Reda Obituary

Barbara A. Reda, 71, of Lebanon, PA, died peacefully in her home on Thursday, August 18, one day before her 72nd birthday. She was the wife of the late Thomas J. Reda, who died October 1994. Barbara was an RN, and she earned her Master's degree in Human Services at age 50 from Lincoln University. Dedicated to helping others, Barbara founded Another Chance Counseling where she provided family therapy and drug and alcohol counseling for over 20 years. Born in Palmyra, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Barbara Crist Hesse. She is survived by two sons: Michael Reda and his partner, Jim Leister, of Norristown, PA, and by Dr. Thomas J. Reda, II of Philadelphia. Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 26, 2011 at 10:00 AM in the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church (St. Mary's), 2 North 8th Street, Lebanon, PA, with a visitation beginning on Friday at 9:30 AM in the church. Interment will be made in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery following the Mass. "Friends and former clients are welcome to attend the memorial service". In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Barbara's name to the Agape Family Shelter, P.O. Box 5, Lebanon PA 17042.

Barb has touched my life many years ago and everytime I have seen her recently she has always had a smile and never complained.

Barb touched many people in a very special way. She will be missed by many but her spirit will live on. Many of the spiritual gifts she gave many will continue to be shared..........
