WILSON, BARBARA J. July 5, 1935 to November 21, 2010 Barbara J. Wilson was born in Jersey City, NJ in 1935 to Donald and Cecile Barker, the youngest of two daughters. Early in her childhood they moved to Malverne, NY. She graduated from SUNY at Cortland, the first in her family to graduate from college. She taught Kindergarten in New York, California and Nevada. She got her real estate license in 1974 and pursued this until 2009. She was an avid baseball fan and was devastated when the Brooklyn Dodgers left in 1957 for Los Angeles. She moved to California in 1967 as a Navy wife where she became a season-ticket holder with both the San Diego Padres and the San Diego Chargers. She is survived by her two daughters, Kathleen Marie Wilson and Karen Denise Gustavel and grandchildren, Megan Elizabeth Kollar, Ryan David and Kayde Nicole Gustavel. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews in New York and Florida. A Celebration of Life is planned for January 22, 2011, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the clubhouse of her best friends Mary and Darrel Scheuerman, 667 Garrett Ave., Chula Vista. Memorials may be made to San Diego Hospice in lieu of flowers.

i knew there was something wrong when she quit answering her emails. she was even tempered and a wonderful person, very very competent and smart as well. she helped me a lot and i think of her often. i wish i could attend on 1/22 but cannot. john morton
