Barney Leon Cole Jr. left this world on February 23rd, 2022, at the age of 64. He was a long-time resident of Harvey, LA but he was proud to be born and raised in Dallas, TX. He is proceeded in death by his parents Barney Cole Sr. and Saundra Hicks. He was the proud, loving father of Jennifer Ridgel (Travis), Jessie Cole (Harley), and Jamie Cole (Chasse). He was survived by his grandchildren Jax Ridgel, Sawyer Ridgel, Grayson Leon Bodden and Landon Bodden in which he was "Pop Barney". He is also survived by his sister Sue Lanford (Lance) and multiple nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. His world revolved around his daughters and grandsons. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy in which he served 22 years; he carried that pride until his last day. He loved the Dallas Cowboys. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. In the later years of his life he enjoyed throwing traps and fishing off of Engineers Road and picking up a shrimp poboy from Salvos on his way home. He's never met a stranger and he will be missed tremendously by all who knew him. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Visitation on Saturday, March 12, 2022, from 9am until 11am at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA. The family asks that you please consider donating to The Wounded Warrior Project in Barney's name at https://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/programs/mental-wellness.

Met him at the fishing docks on engineers rd. He had such a beautiful heart and will definitely be missed.
