Barrett Jones Obituary
dedicated servant of God, passed away peacefully in his home at the age of 83.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Linda H. Jones. He leaves behind his two children, his daughter Trenna Coghan and husband Adam of Lusby, MD and son Chris Jones and wife Sandy of Syracuse NY and his five grandchildren Chelsea (Joel) Rhodes of OH, Benjamin Coghan of TX, Jacob (Shelby) Coghan of MD, Josh Jones of NY and Kayla Jones of NY. He also had two great grandchildren, 3 nieces and 5 nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Mariner Sands Chapel, 6500 SE Congressional Way, Stuart, FL on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 11:00 AM. All friends and family are welcome.

Karene and I worked with Barrett some 50 plus years old at the First National Bank in Sidney, New York. We had numerous good times with Barrett and Linda at Bank Holiday Parties and events. We both admired Barrett as a person, family man and fellow banker. He had great wit and we have many wonderful memories of life in a small-town community bank where everyone knew each other, which sometimes was good and other not times not so great. We were sad when Barrett left the bank, but we knew he had more to offer and more to accomplish elsewhere and he certainly did both. We were both honored to have known Barrett and privilege to have been able to work with and learn from him. Barrett may you rest in peace.

Just heard of Barrett's passing. Worked for/with him for over ten years at Key Bank in Syracuse. I always marveled at his ideas. I usually though "why didn't I think of that". My job was to figure out if we could make any money implementing them. He was a great person to work with and for. Mickie and I will miss him.

Just now hearing of the passing of a great guy, Barrett Jones. Met Barrett first when he hired me to be a manager at First Trust @ Deposit in 1972. Over many years he guided me and i was very fortunate to have him in my corner. To Linda and family my sincere condolences. Jim Lacy

No one kinder, gentler, smarter or funnier! A very deep loss for community, as well as friends and family. His father and mine shared a friendship as Triple Cities Traction Company bus drivers in Binghamton as we were growing up.

I met Barrett when he was Interim President at Onondaga Community College. At the time I was Chairperson of the Faculty and he insisted on meeting weekly. I loved every bit of time I spent with him! He was a man of great wisdom expressed through an incredible wit. His warmth remains with me today. A truly good and memorable man who made a positive difference in this world. I am so sorry for him family's loss and send my deepest condolences. May God surround you with His grace and comfort.
