Barry Anthony "Short" Foreman was born October 30th, 1959 in Claremore, OK to Mack and Betty Foreman. Short was preceded in death by his dad, Mack Foreman of Oaks, OK, his paternal grandparents, Joe and Gertie Foreman of Oaks, OK, his maternal grandparents, Walter and Pauline Terrapin of Oaks, OK, and one nephew, Shane Rae Foreman of Lenapah, OK.

Short is survived by his wife, Cathy of the home, one son, Cowboy and wife Amber and two grandsons, Cade and Cayson Foreman of Oaks, OK, mother, Betty Foreman of Oaks, OK, five brothers, Mick and Bobbie of Rose, OK, Dick and Julie of Oaks, OK, Bogue and Denise of Lenapah, OK, Tarz and Eva of Twin Oaks, OK, Tex and Teresa of Oaks, OK, two sisters, Ann Foreman of Oaks, OK, Bush and Jack Duncan of Oaks, OK, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, great nieces and nephews, and a host of extended family and friends.

Short spent his early days growing up on the Mullendore Ranch going to work with his dad learning the cowboy's way of life. Short loved to ride and rope anything that walked. He later attended school at Kansas. Short met the love of his life, Cathy Raper and they were later married on August 26th, 1978. Short and Cathy were blessed with a son, Cowboy. Short passed on his love of horses and roping to Cowboy. Short spent his life rodeoing and roping with his brothers and countless others winning numerous awards, saddles, and buckles. Throughout his rodeo career he was a member of many rodeo associations including the IPRA, CSRA, CRRA, and the ACRA where he was a gold card member and qualified for many finals in these associations. He was also a member of the USTRC, All-Star Ropings, and the Region 8 Rodeo Association. Short qualified and competed numerous times at the INFR which was held in Albuquerque, NM, Scottsdale, AR, and Las Vegas, NV. Short was also a bus driver for Oaks School, ranch hand alongside his dad for Doc Vammen in Oaks, and in later years Short was employed by Cherokee Nation. His family knew of his many talents which included family dentist, nickname giver, professional trailer house mover and the best damn hay bailing, wood cutting, cow cathching man around.

Short was a family man and loved his family. The only thing that he loved more than being a dad to Cowboy and husband to Cathy was being a "Pawpaw" to Cade and Cayson. Short loved to just saddle up and spend time riding with the boys teaching them to rope and passing on to them the cowboy way of life. His legacy will live on through his son and grandsons.

Whether it was from breaking a horse for a friend or roping with a youngster to help them get their start, you could always count on Short.

Short had a heart of gold and knew no strangers. With a smile on his face, he was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. There are no words to describe the hole in everyone's hearts left by his journey home.

Gone, but not forgotten. Forever Foreman Strong!
