GREINER Greiner, Barry E., 54 of Davie died Feb. 13, 2003. He served as a Captain with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, as a Fort Artillery Officer. He worked with the U.S. Customs Service for 20 years, and after retirement helped found the Retired Association of Customs Agents. He coached many children in various sports with the Town of Davie. He currently was Vice President of A B Si Translation Service. He is survived by his wife Lucy; his children, Nicholas, 8, Alexis, 4, of Davie, Teri Lawson, of Perryville, MD, April Greiner Calhoun of Elkton, MD; brothers Ronald Greiner of King of Prussia, PA, Tony Sidler of Wilmington, DE; sisters Cheryl Greiner of Valdosta, GA, Nancy Stein of St. Peters, PA, Kelly Sidler of Wilmington, DE; and 2 grandchildren Emily and Connor. Friends will be received on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the T.M. Ralph Funeral Home Sawgrass/ Weston, 371 NW 136 Avenue, Sunrise. A funeral service will be held Tuesday 8:30 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Lauderdale Memorial Park, 2001 SW 4 Avenue, Ft. Lauderdale. In his memory the family suggests donations to The Amyloid Program, Boston, MA. (954) 587-6888. For information about the children's Trust, please call the law office of Frank Weinberg and Black (954) 474-8000.

Barry was a wonderful, kind person. I admired his determination and faith as he struggled with Primary Amyloidosis. His love for his family was his strength and his passion--may you take comfort in that. He will be missed by all but he will live in our hearts.
