I didn't know Mr. Barry, Sr. very well. I only met him through Barry, Jr., and his wife, Stacy. I remember that he was a great man-- full of joy and love. And he made a mean bowl of chili! I know he will be greatly missed by all of his friends and family and all of the people whose lives he touched. We find peace in the hope that we will see him again, though, as he lived his life for God. My love and prayers go out to all of the family during this time. May God bless you.

Officer Myers is a Servant to his Lord and Church, a Servant to the State of Tennesse and its people, and a Servant to his Neighborhood! He is a caring and kind neighbor as well as providing a sense of security around us all! I speak of him in the present tense because the Bible tells us the truth; "he is not dead but liveth.."!
Our prayers are with you all!

This world lost a great man who touched so many in his daily life. "Barry Ray" was a friend and wonderful example of a caring, loving, witnessing Christian. His eyes and his radar watched all over Holston Valley. We reminded our kids..."slow down, Barry Ray is watching and hiding in the bushes." We loved him and our thoughts & prayers go with God's Special Trooper.

Dear Myers Family,
It was with a great sense of loss when I heard of Barry's passing. As a former Bristol Police Officer, I had the opportunity to work with Barry for many years. I wanted to let the family know that you have my sympathy, and my heart is truly saddened. Barry was always so kind and considerate to others. He was a hard working man of integrity. I know that his passing will leave a void in your lives, and in the hearts of all those who knew him. My sincere thoughts and prayers are with you.
