When I was a teenager, I've been a fan with Toledo Storm, the Storm won Riley Cup in 1993 which is a miracle on ice. I can't believe Barry Potomski is one of the greatest fighters in hockey, when you mess with him or his teammates, he kicked your butt on center ice to toss you like a rag doll. Why does Barry Potomski died at a young age, that's impossible, he didn't deserve to die being so young, he shouldn't done that, his family were devastated of losing a son, a brother and a friend like him. My condolences go to Barry Potomski's family, they're going to miss him.

I remember Barry came up to me and Carey Crowder after a Massey game - he was all wide eyed and said "Wow, you're Chris and Carey! You guys are good"... then he went on to play pro and we got jobs. :) Barry was always full of big grins and a good guy.
I'm so sorry for your loss.
Blessings,

Mr. and Mrs. Potomski and Wendy,
I would like to offer my condolences to the Potomski family. I am shocked and saddened to hear of Barry’s passing. My memories of Barry are still strong as we were teammates on numerous sports teams at Central Public School and later playing football at Vincent Massey Secondary School. It was a pleasure to have Barry as a teammate. He was a true competitor. Barry’s passing represents to me how fragile life can be. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Potomski family during this difficult time.

I grew up in South Windsor and was in class with Barry at Central Public School. A lifetime later we reconnected via FB and then again in Vegas..he had the best smile growing up! He'd look over his shoulder as he was leaving you in his dust during a race and all you'd see were those pearly whites! :) same smile greeted me in Vegas. Beautiful boy, beautiful man..inside and out. Thank you for touching my life.

• What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why Barry left this earth so soon, or why he left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that he died, but that Barry lived. And that his life gave us memories too beautiful to forget. May the peace which comes from the memories of love shared, comfort you now and in the days ahead. Our thoughts and Prayers are with You All
