Bartholomew Bernard Piccardo, 75, passed away peacefully, Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013. A resident of Washington, Pa., he also resided in Ormond Beach, Fla., after retirement. Bart was born Nov. 28, 1937, in Pittsburgh, and is the son of the late Regis and Margaret Piccardo. Bart married the love of his life Sept. 24, 1960, the late Patricia Piccardo. He is survived by two loving daughters, Lisa and son-in-law, Dwayne Coneeny of East Dover, Vt., and Robin and son-in-law, Ted Grimm of Washington, Pa.; his adored grandsons, Shawn Patrick Grimm and Tyler Shane Grimm both of Washington, Pa.; sister, Louella Barno of Elizabeth; and his granddogs, Sierra, Bandit, Roxy and Waylynn. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. Bart was a U.S. Marine Veteran and served during the Korean War. He loved to hunt and fish and was a talented billiard player and ballroom dancer. Most of all, he cherished spending time with his grandsons, Shawn and Tyler. Bart will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Relatives and friends are welcome to gather for visitation at CREMATION AND FUNERAL CARE BY DANIELLE ANDY BELUSKO, 3287 Washington Rd., McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546, on Friday, March 29, 2013 from 9:30 a.m. until time of funeral service at 10 a.m. A funeral procession will follow to the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, where a graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Odyssey Hospice at http://www.odsyhealth.com, or the American Cancer Society at http://www.cancer.org.
