Born under the grand skies of Texas, Bert carried into life a profound sense of humility, walking in the footsteps of the Lord with grace and gratitude.

Known throughout his community as a steadfast family man and businessman, Bert piloted his own enterprise, Captain Video, with the diligence and integrity of a faithful steward. His store became more than a place of commerce; it was a hub of joyful connection, reflecting his deep respect for the fellowship of his neighbors.

Bert's life was a living testament to his unwavering faith. A devout attendee of Kingdom Hall, he demonstrated his reverence for the divine not only in worship but also in daily acts of kindness, in the prayers shared over the family dinner, and in genuine gratitude for every moment bestowed upon him.

In his leisure, Bert found simple pleasures that spoke to the wonders of creation, whether it be storytelling amidst loved ones, dancing with joyous abandon, tending to his garden, or fixing the broken, all of which can be seen as parables of the care he bestowed upon the world.

Leaving behind a legacy are those dearest to his heart: his life's partner, Florentina Olivarez; his beloved children, Naomi, Valerie, Robert, Gilbert, Delbert, and Albert; and his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with innumerable friends. Bert now joins in eternal peace those who preceded him, including his son Bartolo Olivarez and others held close in memory.
