Basilio (Basil):
12.5.1921 – 1.4.2014 Loved Husband of Angela (dec). Son of Giuseppe and Carmela Martella (dec). Loving and Loved Father and Father-in-law of Joe and Anna, Carmel and Frank, Maria and Lino, Lucy and Craig and Terry and Carol. Loved Nunno Basil of 16 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren. Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his Family after a short illness, at the age of 92. Special thanks to the staff in the IC Ward at St John of God Hospital, Murdoch.
Rest peacefully Dad (Basil) in God's love.

Dad, Nonno you were an inspiration to us all. Unselfishly helping us with your great advice and care. You are now together with Mum, Nonna. We will sadly miss you and our love for you will never cease. Joe and Anna, Basil, Karen, Evie and Ruby, Carmel, Craig and Charlotte, Elizabeth and Jake and Catherine.

Dad thank you for your love, guidance and generosity. We will miss our many discussions and the wise advice you gave us. And will always treasure the many happy memories you have given us.
Rest peacefully now together with Mum, in God's loving care. RIP.

Thank you for being a wonderful role model and inspiration for my boys to witness. I will miss our quiet chats we shared at Bethanie, over the past two years. Rest in peace with Mum. MARTELLA (Basil ): Goodbye to Nunno Basil. Adored Grandfather of Julia and then to Jonas. You have been an inspiration to us on how to live a happy good life. Also much loved by Ingrid and Thomas. We have so many happy memories of time spent with you. We will always love you and miss you. Thank you for being such an important part of our lives. Julia, Jonas, Ingrid and Thomas.

We always enjoyed his no nonsense philosophy on life and humourous stories around the dining room table, in the orchard and the shed. We will forever cherish the memory of happy times with his special family at Santa Rita - an irreplaceable and unforgettable part of our lives. Basil (MARTELLA ): Basil Martella Snr has been a stalwart, and leader for the fruit industry in WA for many years. Basil's family continues the tradition he established. Basil was highly respected throughout many growing communities.
We offer our deepest condolences and are saddened by his passing, our thoughts are with Joe, Terry, their families and all at Santa Rita Orchards. The Fruit West Committee, Staff and Members.
