Beatrice Dudgeon, 88 of East Grand Forks, Minnesota, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2006 at the Valley Eldercare Center in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Beatrice Magdalene Dudgeon was born on June 18, 1917 the daughter of Martin and Sarah (Sherette) Shimek. Beatrice grew up and attended school in East Grand Forks, Minnesota. On March 4, 1935 she was united in marriage to Farnham ""Buss' Dudgeon in East Grand Forks, Minnesota. In 1956 she began employment at JC Penny's in Grand Forks, North Dakota, and worked there for 25 years. Cherished family members of Beatrice include her children; Donald (Joan) Dudgeon, James (Norma) Dudgeon, Mark (Lu) Dudgeon, Craig (Patricia) Dudgeon all of East Grand Forks, Minnesota, Gary (Tootie Medd) Dudgeon of Grand Forks, North Dakota and William (Janice) Dudgeon of Waubun, Minnesota, one sister; Vivian (John) Crosby of Lancaster, California, 22 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Beatrice is preceded in death by her husband, son; Michael, three sisters; Lucille Hofland, Mildred Smith, and Rose Schauer, daughter-in-law; Marlys Dudgeon. Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 3, 2006 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, East Grand Forks, MN. Visitation: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday with a 6:30 p.m. Prayer Service in Stennes Funeral Home, East Grand Forks, MN. Burial: Calvary Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND. To the Family of Bea Dudgeon, we share your loss of Bea. As the Mgr. of the Grand Forks Store I got to know Bea as a very loyal, honest, and dedicated J. C. Penney employee for many years. At the present time we are in Arizona for a few months so will not be able to attend Bea's funeral. However, we will be with you in spirit.
