Mrs. Beatrice C. Mallard

Beatrice "Bea" Mallard, 79, of Bourne passed away on April 20, 2013. She was the wife of the late William T. Mallard. Bea was born on November 5, 1933 in Sommerville, MA. She was the daughter of the late John and Julia Murphy. She lived many years in Brockton, MA and Littleton NH before moving to Cape Cod. Bea's greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with her family and friends. For every joy and celebration she was there, happy, smiling, heart wide open. For every sorrow she was the shoulder to lean on, patient, and kind advisor. Always counting her blessings, Bea was the true matriarch of her large family She is survived by her 9 children Anne McDonald, Kathleen Mallard, Beatrice Mallard, Patricia Lineman and husband Brian all of Littleton, NH. Donna Roy and husband David of Waterford, VT. William Mallard Jr and wife Paula, Michael Mallard, Theresa McDonald and husband Joseph, and John Mallard and wife Jill all of Bourne, MA. She is also survived by her sister Millie Warren of Oil City, PA and many nieces and nephews. She was pre deceased by her siblings John Murphy, Arthur Murphy, Mary Martin, Anna Delorey, Dorothy Murphy, and Robert Murphy Her legacy of life and love will be carried on by her 32 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday May 18th at 10:00 a.m. at St John the Evangelist Church, 841 Shore Rd Pocasset, MA 02559. Refreshments will be served in the rectory following the Mass. Burial is private. A celebration of life will be held later in the afternoon on May 18th at the Eagles Club on Cohasset ave, Buzzards Bay at 3:00, all are welcome.
