Definitely gone too soon. If only we had just a little longer of Ben. However, thankfully those 23 years with him will provide more years of wonderful memories and life lessons learned from Ben.

Lets all remember that God is catching the tears and binding up the broken hearted. He knows the depth of the pain and is longing to comfort.

We all want to extend our most deepest sympathy. Our dad was as proud of your Ben as he was his own grandchildren. We will always remember how Ben turned around and came right back home from school to attend dads memorial and what a truly special young man he was.
May our Lord give your family strength and peace.

Laurie,
My heart goes out to you for your precious loss. I too, know the unbearable pain of losing a son. Suddenly, everything has changed! But, remembering all the wonderful times you shared together will always comfort you. And at times such as this, may you rely on the God of Love, to sustain you all with His promise of HOPE! When He will soon end all suffering.
"He will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. And the One seated on the throne said; "LOOK!" I am making all things NEW...these words are faithful and true."

Dear Cahn Family,
I was fortunate enough to become a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity where I met Ben Cahn. I lived in Sigma Chi with him for about two years and never regretted a minute of it. Ben never failed to provide entertainment amongst the brothers and would also provide us with many laughs. Ben was the first and only person to call me "curls" which I will always cherish. Ben was a good guy with a kind heart. I'm sorry for your loss. I know Ben is in a better place now watching over all of us.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow, "unknown." To Ben's family, may your family find love, light and healing in the days ahead. We got to meet Ben last Xmas at my sisters, Kris Haffner and with my niece, Taylor--he was so very kind and warm. Prayers, Shelly Olesen Heller

Dear Cahn Family,
I was only blessed to know Ben for a short while but I can't even begin to tell you the impact he made on my life. I wish he was home with us tomorrow for Christmas opening up all the Adidas clothes and camouflage pants his big heart desired. I wish I never got that phone call on Monday afternoon from Washington from Mrs. Cahn. You are an amazing, strong family. And have done so much for me including sharing Ben with me. I cannot thank you enough for being the wonderful people you are and the wonderful family that shaped him so well. I know Ben is with us all and I only pray for what the future may bring us.
Love,
Taylor
