BEN GALLUP
Ben Gallup passed away quietly in his sleep on Sunday, November 11, 2018, at home in Burtonsville, MD. He was born in Vermont in 1929, and left in his youth to join the Navy. He married in 1953, and worked for Bendix overseas before retiring in 1983. He went back to work for Booz Allen Hamilton and retired again in 2000. Ben proudly enjoyed the challenges of solving problems in the service of his country, and supported various space missions from Project Mercury to the International Space Station. He enjoyed the company of his family and friends, traveling, gardening, woodworking, being a member of the Christ Congregational Church and their Choir, and the Singing Capital Chorus. He was a man of integrity, who will be lovingly missed by his surviving children Elizabeth G. Warner and James B. Gallup and their spouses, as well as son-in-law Steve Klus and grandson Jeremiah Judy. He was pre-deceased by his wife Pauline H. Gallup in 2013 and his daughter Susan G. Klus in 2014. His memorial service will be held at Christ Congregational Church in Silver Spring in January, 2019. Contact the family for details. In Lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Christ Congregational Church Music Memorial Fund.

Just saw the information on your passing Ben. Anne and I send our sincerest condolences to the family. Ben took a neophyte technician in Bermuda and nurtured him to grow beyond any expectations. Thank you Ben. Rest in Peace.
