I was shocked to see the notice of his death in the Lawrence Today magazine. I knew Ben in college. I'm so sorry for his families. Way too young.

I was saddened by the news of Ben's early passing from our lives. I met Ben and his brother Bill in the Spring of 1986 when the Graebel brothers personally moved me from Ft Collins to Seattle. Since then, I have used the Graebel companies to relocate me multiple times. Needless to say, I am and always will be a big fan of Graebel. In my new career as broker/owner of WEICHERT, REALTORS-Synergy in Wellesley MA, I hope to be able to pass on the spirit and energy of Ben and his family to my clients in their relocation needs.

Dear Dave Graebel and family, I met Ben for the first time face to face in 1999 during our first meeting before managing Graebel Las Vegas. We had spoken often and did business during my many years in the moving industry in New york and California. Ben was always there to answer questions and give me helpful direction with his knowledge. Ben was a shining light, humble honest to a fault and a good friend. Ben was a fireball of positive energy and a man with a kind spirit and a big heart and always ready to lend a hand. I will miss Ben and I am sure he will be doing great things within the stars. I just wonder exactly which shining star in the heavens is Ben Graebel! Much Love and Respect! Julie, Dave & Bill. Also just found out about Ben's death. My heart hurts for you and our Family sends our love. A great guy on so many levels. And as a former Wisconsin native, even moreso. Ben went to Lawrence with my sister Molly. Our deepest sympathies sent for your entire family. Too young, too soon.

I am so sorry for your loss - Julie, Dave & Bill! I just found out about Ben's death and am shocked. I had the same high regard for Ben as I did all the members of the Graebel family. Ben was kind, thoughtful in his actions, and just a great person. I am so saddened to hear of his untimely demise, and send my deepest sympathies to you all.

Dear Graebel Family,
I am deeply saddened to hear about the loss of Ben. I had the honor of getting to know him through our mutual connections in the corporate real estate industry. I considered him a personal friend. He always had a beaming smile when he spoke of you -- his wife and children. It was what I loved about him. Our family sends our biggest sympathies. We live in Texas and did not hear of his passing until today I am afraid. I sit here in tears as I write this. May God bring you peace and comfort during this very difficult time. He touched the lives of so many individuals.

Julie - I am so sorry. I know there is nothing I can say to make the pain of losing Ben go away - and that's really all you want right now. I have been thinking about our family Thanksgiving several years ago in Las Vegas. How ironic that on this same day, just several years later, he goes home to be with the Lord. You and the kids are in my prayers. I'm glad you are surrounded by family and friends right now.

Dear Julie, JJ, Luke and Willie,
Your father was such a dear dear man that will truly be missed. We have spent so many fond memories with you and Ben up at your Vail home skiing, at your special Ranch retreat and on the lacrosse fields for many many years. It just won't be the same without Ben, he was such a special kind man that didn't deserve to have his life cut short. You all will be in our thoughts and prayers and we will cherish all the special times we had together with Ben.
All our love, Dana and Chris

Dear Julie,
Seeing you and Ben recently at Morton's was such a pleasure. Ben always treated everyone, no matter who they were or what they did, with respect and dignity. He always asked about my family, and could remember more about them than I would at times. I feel truly blessed to have called you my friends for more than 20 years. I send my heartfelt sympathy to you and the children and prayers for comfort and peace.

Dear Julie & Family,
We are sadden by this news, but are comforted in knowing that our friend is sitting on the right-hand side of God.
Ben will always be with you; his spirit and good, will be part of you always. I know that you wanted, needed, and hoped for more time to spend with Ben, but always remember the great times you all shared together and he will forever live in your hearts.
God gives us examples on this earth of how we should live our lives and Ben was one of the best examples we could ever know.
Sincerely,

I had the pleasure of working with Ben at Graebel Los Angeles. Even though I was only an admin assistant at the time he always remembered my name, my family, and my dreams. Ben always made you feel that you were a very important person no matter your title or job duties. Ben, it was an honor to know you.

My family was deeply saddened to learn of Ben's passing. Growing up in Wausau, WI I knew of Ben as a terrific skier. Later, as both of our paths led to Colorado, I watched with pride as he and the Graebel Companies supported many worthy organizations. He'll be missed.

I was saddened to hear about Ben's passing but am so happy to hear he found his faith in Jesus. I knew Ben from high school and his Wausau years and he was always willing to lend a ear and his support in times of need. Ben was a great person to have as a friend and I feel blessed having known him. His smile could light up a room. Heaven is now that much brighter. To Ben's family may your memories of Ben and your faith carry you through your grief. My thoughts and prayer's are with you during this difficult time...

Dear Julie, Our hearts are broken for you and your children. Even though Ben is at peace now, we know you are left with the pain. Ben was one of the kindest, most faithful and generous men we have ever known. We only knew him through hunting trips to Southwest Kansas, but will remember him always! Thank you for sharing Ben with us, as our children Jordan and Justin just loved him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. May God Bless you and your loved ones this Holiday Season.

we are so saddened to hear of Ben's passing. Bernie, the kids and I enjoyed many wonderful times with Ben and Julie and the Graebel family. I met Ben in WI in 1979 when he contacted me about coming to work for him at Graebel...we reconnected in Denver years later. Our family will always be grateful for Ben's generosity, incredible caring for others. Bernie and I had the privilege of serving on the Make-A-Wish BOD with Ben and always remember his "low-hanging fruit" stories. I still think of him when I hear that saying today. We know how much Julie and the kids will miss Ben, but also know that he will always be watching over you.
Please know how much everyone will miss this truly fine human being.

Ben was the gentleman's gentleman. He was always thoughtful and caring in my time with him on the Make-a-Wish of Colorado board of directors. When I would see him after leaving the board, Ben always had a ready smile, firm handshake and an earnest desire to know how things were going. My thoughts and prayers are with Ben's family.
