We are so sorry to hear about your loss. Life can be so difficult, and full of challenges, but I absolutely know that we are not alone as we face them. Often times it seems very lonely, but as you pray and meditate, you will feel the presence of Ben and our Heavenly Father. The pain will not go away, but peace can be felt along the way. We love you!

Dear Sheryl and Kids,
Unfortunatly I never had the privelage of meeting the family that Ben spoke so highly of. Ben was so many things to me, a friend, co-worker, and most of all a mentour. Ben was a man that I idolized and looked up to. My warmest regards to you and your children. Ben will be sorely missed.

Sheryl, Charlene, Randy, Sydney, Erica, and Miquel-
Ben was so many things to so many people. For me he was a coworker, a hunting buddy, and a dear friend who was always there when I needed someone. In many ways, with the wisdom he shared with me, I felt sometimes he was a second father when my own was so far away. Ben will be greatly missed and I will always carry a piece of him in my heart.
Please know, you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm sorry for your family's loss. Besides the acquaintance I had with the Mildenhall family because of being J Richard and Veone Brown's daughter, I remember Ben from an Algebra class at Timpview High school. He was very nice to me when some other guys were being real jerks. That small kindness was much needed and appreciated.

Dear Sheryl & Family,
Ben's obituary was forwarded by to us by friends in Provo. We are both shocked and saddened by your loss. We attended school with Ben from Kindergarten through High School. He was the real deal!! He always made everyone around him laugh and be happy!
We're sorry for your loss and wish you the best. May you find comfort in knowing how important Ben must be to our Heavenly Father. I am certain he was needed and will be there for you and your family when the time comes.
Sincerely,
Kent & Erin (McMahon) Zabriskie

Dear Sheryl & Family,
Erin and I were shocked to hear about Ben's passing. God must have needed him for a very important work on the other side. Our thoughts and prayers go to you and your family. I will always remember Ben as being a very 'real' person and not like so many others at THS that were so phony. I liked Ben's company and always enjoyed a good laugh with him when he was around. If there is anything Erin and I can do, please don't hesitate to call. 801.785.3816

Sheryl and other family members,
I am so sorry to hear of Ben's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
Ben has always been one of my favorite people. As we were so close in age, the two of us did a lot together growing up. I have so many fond memories of our childhood and will cherish our friendship for ever.
Rae will possibly remember the Thanksgiving when Ben and I were wrestling in their living room as kids and accidentally knocked over the jig saw puzzle that was nearing completion-- we got into big trouble!
I have happy memories of Ben-- he always tried to make others happy.
I pray that we will all be comforted and keep present in our hearts God's great plan of salvation.

Sheryl:
We were deeply affected by the news. There are many who have been blessed by his life, and many more will be. He is an awesome missionary. I have very fond memories of working with Ben at the Chevron. He is a great friend and never forgot anyone. I appreciate the talks he gave me to help me as far as church goes. I know his new mission will be just as successful. I admire that about him. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and the children. I will miss his visits-- he always came to visit me when he was in town. Let us know how we can help. Our deepest sympathies, Terry and Jana Sides

Sheryl and Family,
I am still in shock at the news about Ben. I just found out this morning. Ben was such a wonderful guy. I will never forget him. In the short time that I knew him he made a lasting impression on me. I always admired and deeply respected his dedication and devotion to his family, friends, Church and God.
He was the kind of person you could talk to about anything. He respected and treated everyone with fairness and kindness.
He will be deeply missed. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
With love and Prayers for you all,
The Solimando Family
(Jason, Rebecca, Jacob and Madelynn).

The Captain of a Lifetime
Gary Witte
We stand bereaved upon the dock
While ships embark for home
To distant ports not viewed by us
We are left alone
Approaching new horizons
Ship and Captain Ben fade away
He encounters new beginnings
And the dawn of a new day
The Captain of a Lifetime
Disappears or so it seems
His destiny awaiting
Where life is more serene
His Mother’s crying, waiting
She’s vigilled through the night
Upon a far more distant shore
She beacons with a light.
Death is but a sleeping
He’ll awake once more
We’ll then see his horizon
As just another shore
Our separation’s not for long
A fact amidst life travels
We were merely left behind
As eternity unravels.
May you and your children be wrapped in the arms of his love. We are so very sorry for your loss.

Dear Sheryl:
I am saddened to hear of your loss. I truly loved Ben. When I was a young boy I watched him at every family reunion he attended. I wanted to be just like him. Full of energy and the life of the party. I am sure that those who are able to spend time with him now are truly enjoying the Ben that I always admired. I hope you and your family are comforted and feel supported in your time of loss.
Sincerely, Mark D. Brandt

Dear Sheryl,
What a shock we have all had within our extended family! Ben was such a fun-loving guy; my children have made the comment several times over the last few days: "I just loved Ben!" We all did. May you find peace and comfort in the days and weeks ahead as you put the pieces of your and your children's lives back together. I am sure Ben and David have had their own family reunion by now--I have thought about that several times in the last couple of days. May God put His arms around you. He will compensate you in every way He possibly can for your loss--I know; I have been there.
Much love and sympathy,
Gwen Brandt

Cheryl, In all the years I've known Ben, he was the happiest around his family. I know he will be with you always watching over you and your children. He will be missed dearly, but it's comfort to know that he's in a good place and will be reunited with his family one day. We love you and want you to know that you are in our prayers. May God bless you and your family.

I think my most cherished memory of Ben is when we were at a family reunion as adults and we were told that Ben and Sheryl wouldn't be able to make it because it was too far. Then a little later in the day they drove up in their station wagon. It was very touching to me that they sacrificed so much to be able to be with family. I often think of that now that I live away from family.
