Ben SEIDEL Obituary
It is with heavy hearts the family of Ben Seidel, 82 years of Wakaw Lakeview Pioneer Lodge and formerly of Bruno, announces his passing on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at his residence. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife Annavon of 51 years, and his four children; daughter Michele (Wayne) Hoppe, and their children; Shane (Tricia) Hoppe, Kimberly (Dustin) Folk, Stephanie (Devon) Dosch, and Hillary (Jonathon) Kochan and daughter Peyton; daughter Jody (Arden) Sobush and their children Landon and Mikayla; son Chris (Rhonda) Seidel and their children Jayden and Rylan and daughter Peggy (Roger) Dauvin and their children Jensen, Blake and Tori. Brothers Mark (Shirley) and Henry (Donna). Mother-in-law Frances Meyer, brother-in-law Duane (Eileen) Meyer, sister- in-law Cathy (Brian) Schriml, sister-in-law Colleen (Gord) Meyer and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents John and Veronica (Schriml) Seidel, brothers Gilbert and Raymond and sister-in-law Marj. Ben was born in Bruno in 1932. He grew up on the family farm and received his schooling in Bruno. Throughout Ben's working life he had many jobs. He worked at the post office, Bruno Rural Telephone, and was the Imperial Oil Agent in Bruno for 30 years, but his life passion was farming. Ben was involved in many community organizations; Knights of Columbus, Bruno Seniors Centre, and Credit Union Board. A Prayer Service will be held on Friday, January 2, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. and the Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Both Services will be held from St. Bruno R.C. Church Bruno, SK. Memorial donations in Ben's memory may be directed to the Bruno Seniors Centre, St. Bruno Parish, Parkinson's Society of Saskatchewan or the Wakaw Lakeview Pioneer Lodge. Arrangements are entrusted to Malinoski & Danyluik Funeral Home, Humboldt (306) 682-1622.

Most of my favorite childhood memories are of my summer times in Bruno with my cousins and Uncle Ben was a big part of these memories. Although we have lost connections more recently I will always look back with a smile when I think of all these wonderful memories. It is unfortunate that the negative change in weather will not permit my travels to the funeral but from myself, my husband and my girls, we send our deepest condolences to you all at this difficult time. Hopefully we can get together in the near future and share all the positive things Uncle Ben did and how his life touched so many people in such wonderful ways.
