Mr. George "Buddy" Hulsey, 55, of Canton, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Roselane Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Sunday, May 14, 2017 at Pleasant Hill Christian Church with Pastor Kasey Kuyper officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Sosebee Funeral Home on Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m.
Mr. Hulsey attended Pleasant Hill Christian Church. He was an outdoorsman with a heart of gold. Buddy enjoyed recycling and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Cody Hulsey and Jeremy Hulsey; father, Harold Ernest Hulsey; brother, Danny Bolton; and sister, Evie Bolton. Survivors include his wife, Donna Jean Hulsey; mother, Elizabeth Bolton; sons, Chad William Hulsey, Brian Kelly Hulsey and George Christopher (Christy) Hulsey; siblings, Bart Hulsey, Marcus Hulsey, Matt Hulsey, Mike Hulsey, Angel Carrol, Sonnie Harris, Rodney Poe and Denise Funderburk; grandchildren, Katlyn Leighann Hulsey and Brandon "Chase" Hulsey; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

This is how I will remember Buddy; holding my hand and looking out for me. He was my friend and always made me feel like one of the "big kids" instead of a baby. We lost touch and I will forever regret that. I love you Donna, Chad, Chris and Bryan. I'll see ya'll soon.

My prayers and love come from your VA family. I will always remember spending summers at Mammaw and Pappaws with you and Bart. I love you and will see you again. Aunt Carol has already recieved you with open arms in heaven with your boys. Prayers and strength to Donna and the boys.
