The good ones are always taken way too soon! Ben was a special guy no matter how long or how you knew him. My heart goes out to his close family and friends! Gone but not forgotten!!

Ben had an infectious way about him. He always made me smile. When he would talk about his students he would light up. He loved life. I keep thinking about the road trip we took together and how much fun we had. He took me to my first baseball game and tried to teach me to golf. He loved to sing, my favorite was She Talks to Angels and of course Thinking out Loud. He danced with me to that song and dropped me and made me promise I'd never tell anyone. Those moments along with so many others I will never forget. When I spoke with him on Monday I wish I had told him how much I loved him and said goodbye. I will miss him so much. My deepest condolences to all of Ben's friends and family. Anyone who knew Ben loved him!!!!

There wasnt a moment I spent with Ben that he didn't make me laugh or smile. He had an infectious way about him. When he spoke of his students he lite up. I can't stop thinking about the fun we had on our road trip. He introduced me to baseball and golf. He sang and danced with me and even dropped me on my butt one time serenading me to Thinking Out Loud. When we spoke on Monday, I wish I would have said I love you and goodbye !!! I will miss you so much my friend.

Still in shock hearing we gained another angel. The funnest man I've met. A dear friend of my sister. A wonderful teacher. The most laid back, humble, outgoing, hilarious, awesome singer. Rest In Peace Ben! The light that shines through you will continue to glow through all you have touched. You will be missed by so many. Prayers for my sister, his family, students and all who have been blessed to have him in your life.

I had Mr. Ellis for Modern World History and he was the best teacher I had that year. He used to always say hi to me in the hallway or when he came into the cafe I work at.

Mr. Ellis was my history teacher two times throughout my high school experience. He was one of those teachers that you'd visit on your way to your next class, or to lunch, or after school. He very rarely ever got mad at any student and always had a sarcastic sense of humor about him. Any time you had his class, he was sure to make you laugh. He made his classes fun and interesting even though history could sometimes be boring. Sociology was my favorite class i had with him. I could not believe the news i had seen when i found out he had passed away. I hope he gets to watch tons of forest gump and yankees games in heaven ! May he rest in peace. The entire Minnechaug Alumi, current students, and staff are sure to miss him very much.
