Ben gave me the biggest boost That I could have ever received as a young woman Entering the business world.. He personally interviewed me.and chose me to be the receptionist for his company, Eastdil, and he saw I'm nervous I was and put me at ease so kindly by telling me not to be nervous. Just think of him as one of the guys he was so kind And he further said that whoever sat at the front desk represented him And That I was perfect for that position.. He made me feel great I thoroughly enjoyed working for him and after I left for health reasons he made it clear. I was always welcome to come back which I did after a few years and worked for him and other associates as well. I always thought about him through years and the world is a sadder place without Ben. May. He? Rest in peace and soar with the angel's He was a wonderful kind!!!

The first and nicest boss I ever had, "Mr. Lambert" was kind, funny, smart and a gentleman in the classic meaning of the term. At Eastdil we all felt like part of an energetic, safe, exciting young place - full of optimism and hope. He was charismatic, charming, and treated everyone with respect - including me - the Eastdil receptionist. When Mr. Rockefeller (David) was around, Mr. Lambert included me, Rose and Annette (the admins from Brooklyn and Staten Island) in the informal conversations between the more "serious" meetings. Eastdil at 120 Bway in 1970 was a special place to be with Mr. Lambert setting the wonderful atmosphere every workday. Condolences to his family and friends.

Ben was a human dynamo when I met him, while working in the U.S. Senate. His first wife was charming and lovely; and they seem well matched.
May God bless him, and them.
