Benjamin Neff Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 26, 2025.
Benjamin Gabler Neff, 81, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 19th in Mechanicsville Virginia where he and his wife Victoria Swiedom Neff have been living for the last 7 months.

Born in Doylestown, Pennsylvania on January 25, 1944, he is the son of Benjamin, Sr. and Ruth Neff. He graduated from Hatboro Horsham High School in 1962 with aspirations of becoming a professional baseball player. Although he never reached the major leagues, he actively participated in numerous adult baseball and softball leagues and spent many years coaching softball for his kids. Baseball remained a significant part of his life.

Ben channeled his competitive spirit into a successful business career. In 1969, he founded Classic Trophies, a local plaque and trophy business in Warminster, PA. He consistently found ways to give back to the community through donations to athletic and church associations.

Ben eventually sold Classic Trophies to his apprentice and relocated his family to the Pocono Mountains where he built his dream home. However, the entrepreneurial spirit never left him, and he soon founded Pocono Awards, achieving notable success by securing the NASCAR Account.

In 1985, Ben moved to Palm Harbor, Florida where he spent the next 40 years launching multiple businesses and actively participating in the Chamber of Commerce. In 2007, he met Victoria Swiedom Neff on a blind date, and their love for each other grew steadfastly from that moment on. Together, they turned many of their hobbies into successful ventures, including antiques, flea markets, and a travel business. They finally tied the knot on September 16, 2023, and recently celebrated their anniversary before his passing.

Florida was where Ben made many great friends and created countless incredible memories. He also opened another trophy business in Palm Harbor, Florida.

Ben is survived by his brother John Neff and his three children; Connie Jerminski, Cheri Prior, and Barry Neff. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Ben was a caring, strong and vibrant man, loving husband, brother, and father. He enjoyed meeting people and making people laugh. In his short time in Virginia, Ben checked off a bucket list item by hosting a comedy night, leaving a jovial impression on all that attended.

His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by him. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered.

All family and friends are welcome to celebrate Ben's life:
