Dr. Bennie H. Boone

MERIDIAN, MS BOONE Dr. Bennie H. Boone, age 77, of Meridian, MS. died Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at Anderson Hospital. He was a Retired Baptist Minister for 30 years. He was an U.S. Navy Vet, worked in Civil Service for 15 years, served in churches in Mississippi and Alabama for 30 years, Retired from Central Baptist Church of Mobile, AL, He received his PHD from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, Member Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Charter Member of Mobile College, where he graduated with honors. He was preceded in death by his brother, Zane Boone and sister, Jackie Mosley. Survivors include: wife of 56 years, Edith Marks Boone of Meridian, MS.; daughters, Kathy Pickard and husband, David of Meridian, MS. and Cindy Floyd of Helena, AL.; sons, David Boone of Meridian, MS. and John Boone and wife, April of Foley, AL.; grandchildren, Allan Floyd of Helena, AL., Mark Quimby and wife, Katie of Birmingham, AL., Eric Floyd and wife, Elizabeth of Helena, AL., Jeffrey Boone of Fairhope, AL., Ashley Boone of Fairhope, AL. and Laura Pickard of Meridian, MS.; great grandchildren, Emma Floyd and Ella Grace Floyd of Helena, AL.; sister, Marion Rosenquist of Fairhope, AL.; half brothers and sisters, Fred Boone, Debbie Boone, Billy Boone and Missy Boone, all of Lucedale, MS. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 20, 2008, 5:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. A funeral service will be held Thursday, February 21, 2008 at 10:00a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Webb and Rev. Danny Davis officiating. Pallbearers will be the grandsons. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens, Theodore, AL. Friday, February 22, 2008 at 2:00p.m. with BARHAM FUNERAL HOME in charge of arrangements.
