Benny Johnson

Benny Ray Johnson, Sr. was born February 27, 1948 in Paris, TX the son of George Floyd Johnson and Onita (Byrd) Johnson and had lived in Swink since 1964. He joined his wife, Jessie of 47 years in heaven on December 4, 2017. Benny passed at the age of 69 at their home in Swink, OK they shared for many years raising their kids and grandkids. Benny spent his early years in Sunray, TX. After graduation from Fort Towson High School, he joined the U.S. Army and achieved the rank of E-8 Staff Sergeant. He returned home to dedicate himself to his family and community. He loved to coach; at least four generations of youth have benefited from his knowledge and commitment. Benny would always put the needs of others before himself and was often helping someone out. SURVIVORS INCLUDE: his son, Benny F. Johnson & wife Wendy of Ft. Towson, OK; daughter, Becky David & husband Steve of Ft. Towson, OK; son, Jackie Johnson of Sawyer, OK; his parents, George and Onita Johnson of Swink, OK; brothers: Gary Johnson & wife Dian of Swink, OK, Jerry Johnson & wife Covel of Wright City, OK; brother-in-law Jim & Karen Earnest of Ft. Towson, OK, sisters-in-law, Ann & J.D. Greer of Hugo, OK, Charlette Liles of Hugo, OK and Jeannie Goettsch of Ft. Towson, OK; grandchildren: James, Justin and Kaley Johnson, Heather Perry, Jody David, Emily, Ashlynn and Avery Johnson; great grandchildren: Jaylee and Camden Perry, Asher David, Ryela and Ryker Johnson, Kashyn and Carter Johnson along with a host of other family and friends.
