In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

A Day with Grandpa
Soft spoken, always kind
Playing piano at bedtime
Long walks, big caves
Deer, raccoons, and chipmunks saved
One of his steps, two of mine
He always took the extra time
Howe Caverns, clean-up night
Go get Grandpa’s big flashlight
Grandpa’s workshop filled with molds
Silver lava overflows
Fossils, gems, my personal guide
What a day by Grandpa’s side
I miss you so much grandpa, and I look forward to seeing you again someday.

Dear Family, The loss of Ben is a loss to much more than those closest to him. He was a guardian of the earth, a forward thinker, dreamer, artist, family loving man, advocate for all the earthly treasures that are often taken for granted, and a true scholar. Imagine! If he had been granted more time what further jewels he may have uncovered. Love Ardys ( Check this photo album)
