GARRETT, Bernadine M. Bernadine M. Garrett, age 74, of Chase died Friday, September 17, 2004 at Spectrum Health-Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. She was born January 7, 1930 in Tilbury, Ontario, Canada, to Alfred and Rose (Roy) Marcotte and attended schools in Windsor. She married James F. Garrett June 21, 1948 in Windsor and they lived in Royal Oak and Berkeley before moving to Chase in 1985. She had enjoyed feeding birds and sewing. She is survived by three daughters: Jane Dienes of Chase, Patricia (Stephen) Tonkovich of Chase and Mary Ann (John) Fulcher of Sterling Heights; three sisters: Clairette Symons of Windsor, Maryann Bozin of Nova Scotia, and Angeline Robinet of Toronto; one brother Paul (Kathy) Marcotte of Windsor; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2001, three sisters, two brothers and her parents. Cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 25 at the McDowell Funeral Home with visitation one hour before the services. Burial will be in Pinora Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
