Bernard POELEN Obituary

Published by Edmonton Journal from Aug. 19 to Aug. 20, 2014.
POELEN, Bernard (Ben) Francis
February 9, 1929 - August 16, 2014
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ben Poelen. Ben passed away in his sleep on Saturday, August 16 at the Royal Alexandra Hospital.
Ben is survived by his children, Florence Campbell, Frances Poelen, and Arthur Poelen; his grandchildren, Terra and Breanna Bruneski, and Sarah, Keith and Emma Campbell as well as sisters overseas, Lidy, Catherine and Jes.
He worked hard all his life as a farmer, mechanic and teacher. He enjoyed his many travels and grew close to his grandchildren in recent years. He retained his sense of humor throughout his last days and his cheesy jokes will long be remembered by us all. May he rest in peace.

So sorry to hear about your dad. Please accept my condolences and know you are in my thoughts. Although I didn't know your dad well I know he was a great man because he raised such a fine son.
