It is hard to believe almost a year has past since Bernie left us. My sister Theresa has joined him on March 17, 2022. May they both rest in peace.

Larry (Bernie) was a part of my extended family. Our families shared many wonderful memories as we spent time together at Sunday dinners, sometimes at our house and sometimes at theirs. Lots of fun over pinochle games, conversation and much more. I will remember him with fondness.

I was too young to hang with Larry. He hung out with my brother Cedric and cousin James Palermo.
They would hang with Jackie and Theresa too but I don’t remember them being around this time.

I remember them visiting us in Silver Springs and they decided to make and float a raft in the pond down the street. I wanted to join in but they just shagged me away. They did make a raft and it floated (for a while) until they tried to get on the raft! They got on alright but in process it flipped. They gave up on that idea and went about other interests.

Our parents, Uncle Ben and Aunt Lucy, Uncle Nick and Aunt Kitty and my parents Cedric and Isabel were busy with Pinochle and a pot of sauce.

I was around 8 years old and the boys were in their teens and in high school.
