Our deepest sympathy and our prayers for Bernie and his family. Bernie and I go way back to the old Cleveland neighborhood. He was a friend and classmate. So sad that we haven't seen each other or talked in so many, many years. However, fond memories will never leave. Playing football, going to athletic events, and just talking are some of the things that I remember. What always stood out to me about Bernie was his level headiness but most of all his kindness and sincerity. No doubt he will be missed but without a doubt we will be with him again one day. God bless all.

Mrs. Straub and Family,
I called Specialty Steel Supply today to place an order with Bernie and they told me of his passing. Bernie was always very helpful and friendly to talk with. By just talking with him over the phone you could tell that he had a lot of personality.
My deepest sympathies go out to you and your family.

Dear Maryanne,
I am so sorry to hear of Bernie's passing. It was not until I saw your family picture that I made the connection that you were a "swim team" family. I worked swim meets with both you and Bernie long before we worked together on testing matters.
May God comfort you all during this difficult time.

Maryanne,
I was so sorry and shocked to hear about Bernie's passing. Had he been having problems? I was aware of his amputation but thought he had recovered fully from that. The picture in the obit was very good and he looked just like my old buddy, Bern.
Best wishes to you and all your family.
Ted
