Elizabeth E. "Betty" Emmel

EMMEL, Elizabeth E. "Betty" Born July 23, 1922 in Oakland, CA, died on April 6, 2006 after dealing with numerous strokes for the past 3 years. Betty was raised in Oakland, attended UC Berkeley, enlisted in the Navy for 4 years and then moved to Sonoma County where she worked for the City of Santa Rosa in the payroll department for over 20 years. She enjoyed a quiet, simple life in her Bennett Valley home enjoying nature and her surroundings. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother. She has been part of the Clarke family, Mel, Nancy, Katherine and Marcus Clarke for over 30 years and her other neighbors and friends from Bennett Valley, the O'Donnell's Feige's, Carillo's, Schwalbenberg-Pena's and her childhood friend, Jane Hardister. She also leaves behind her friends and staff at Chez Louise, Rohnert Park.
