Bernice O'Connor Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 27, 2025.
Bernice Marie O'Connor passed away peacefully on April 9th, 2025, at the age of 83. She was a resident of The Villages in Lady Lake Florida. Bernice was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a beautiful soul who brought joy to anyone she'd meet. Her radiant smile and laugh lit up any room she entered. Some would say she lived many different lives here on earth. Bernice was born in Rochester, New York on February 26th 1942. She went on to settle in Chili, New York when she remarried to Robert O'Connor after her late husband passed. When she wasn't rollerskating, hosting themed parties, writing children's books, or spending time with her grandchildren, she spent most of her time at Logan's Party House. Bernice and Robert moved to The Villages in 2006. She soon picked up line dancing, making many friends along the way. Most of her time was spent down at the square where the bands would play or playing cards with loved ones. Although Bernice is gone, she will live in our hearts forever.

She is survived by her son Steven D Warren; grandchildren, Jessica Warren, Nicole (Vincent) Turano, Steven C Warren, and Deanna Warren; great grandson, Giovanni Turano; sister and brother in law, Diana and Rich Baker; brother and sister in law, Scott and Mai Wilkinson; sister in law, Mary Warren.

Preceded in death by son David Warren; companion Nick Amigone; former husband Robert O'Connor; and late husband Jack Warren.

Celebration of life will be held at a later date.

God looked around his garden

And found an empty place,

He then looked down upon the earth

And saw your tired face.

He put his arms around you

And lifted you to rest.

God's garden must be beautiful

He always takes the best.

He knew that you were suffering

He knew you were in pain.

He knew that you would never

Get well on earth again.

He saw the road was getting rough

And the hills were hard to climb.

So he closed your weary eyelids

And whispered, 'Peace bethine'.

It broke our hearts to lose you

But you didn't go alone,

For part of us went with you

The day God called you home.

Missing you always, forgetting you never.

I'm very sorry for the loss of this wonderful human being and I send my condolences, thoughts, and prayers, I have many memories of her that I could never forget, i remember years ago in the 70s she made a costume of the planters peanut guy and wore it for a Halloween party that she attended lol.
