Bernice Moore Pippen

PIPPEN, BERNICE MOORE, age 72 of Birmingham, died January 10, 2005 in Birmingham. She was a retired school teacher after 31 years with Thomasville City Board of Education, Thomasville, AL She was a member of Evening Star Missionary Baptist Church, Edgewater, AL, Heroines of Jericho (Emanuel Grand Court - Most Ancient Matron, Grand Historian, Grand Assistant Recorder), Eastern Star (Bethlehem Chapter, OES #191 - Electa), Esquire of Southwest I.B.O.E., Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority, Incorp., NEA, AEA, TCEA, Alabama Retired Teachers Association, and Clarke County Retired Teachers Association. She was awarded Teacher of the Year, Pupil's Choice National Teacher Day, and Ida Stutts Award. She is survived by husband, Archie L. Pippen of Birmingham, AL; son, Kelvin L. Clarke; daughter, Sandra Bendelhoum; sisters, Ola Moore and Ima Taylor; brother, Kelley Moore, Jr.; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held Sunday, January 16, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at Evening Star Missionary Baptist Church, Edgewater, Alabama; 7312 Denmark Ave. with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Rev.
