Charlotte & Bill - So sorry - we just heard of Bert's passing. Many memories of years past of the Merfeld family and growing up in Edina and your moving to Kabekona Springs at Walker. Again many wonderful memories. God Bless - Julie and Dick Alstad and family

My deepest condolences to Carol and the rest of the Merfeld family. Bert was a terrific person and a pleasure to know and work with - and as with the passing of all truly wonderful people, we all suffer from this tragic loss.

I was saddened to hear of Bert's passing. He was a great person to know. Thoughts and prayers to the family.

Bert will be sorely missed by those he touched. I am so sad to lose him as a co-worker and friend. He was a bright light in my work life and always available. I know how much he will be mised by the family he loved so much. He talked about his family a lot and adored them. The loss of Bert will leave a hole in our hearts.

"SO SORRY" my thoughts have been with your family and friends. I/we at Kens Barbershop have ALWAYS ENJOYED BERT. SUCH A KIND MAN. It's been on my mind since I heard. He WILL BE SO MISSED! I WISH WORDS COULD HELP FILL THE VOID BUT, it just can't. OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS GO OUT TO ALL WHO KNEW AND LOVED HIM.

Bert was always referred to as " one of the good guys" here at Black Box. Not only by those employees in MN, but by everyone he knew throughout the country. From Maine to California, he put a smile on your face every time you spoke with him. A very talented person with a gentle kindness - he will be sorely missed by all of us.
