Bertha Klugsberg

KLUGSBERG (Coopersmith), Bertha (Bert) Suddenly and peacefully in Ottawa, ON on July 28, 2006. Survived by her beloved husband Abraham (Abe) and loving children, Barbara and Joey Sternberg of Givat Zeev, Israel and David and Janet Klugsberg of Toronto; Yoni, Ilan, Jacob, Ariel, Shir and Jordana. Lovingly remembered by brother-in-law Lou and sister-in-law Harriet Goodman. Bert was predeceased by her brother Saul and sister-in-law Selma Coopersmith and her sister Gertie and brother-in-law Max Farber. The daughter of the late Benjamin and Naomi Coopersmith, Bert moved to Montreal, met Abe and were married in New York in 1951. Living in Laurelton, Long Island, the family moved to Ottawa in 1973 where Bert worked for the National Capital Commission and for many years was an active and caring volunteer at Hillel Lodge. She was adored by her nieces and nephews and their children Rhoda and David Eisenstadt, Ira Appel, Barry and Maxine Coopersmith, Bernie and Karyn Farber, Iris and Sam Susser, Donna Appel, Barry and Donna Goodman, Stan Farber and Mariana Herskovitz. She will be fondly remembered by her many friends worldwide. Funeral Service will be held at the New Jewish Cemetery Chapel (Herberts Corners) on Sunday, July 30, 2006 at 12 noon.
