BERYL ATWOOD JUN. 4, 1916 - JAN. 27, 2007 Mr. Atwood was born June 4, 1916 in Sterling, Kansas to James (Jim) Atwood (born in Minnesota) and Susan Atwood (Deadmond) of Illinois, he was preceded in death by them both.
He married Norma Atwood. He was a member of Davis Park Church of Christ. He was predeceased by his brothers and sister; Clint Atwood, Fritz Atwood, Cham Atwood, Homer Atwood, Rollo Atwood and Lois Atwood. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. He moved to Modesto when he was 3 years old. He had a good sense of humor and always had a funny joke to tell, he loved to tell stories about growing up in Modesto and his travel adventures, was an avid sports fan and was a baseball/softball player in his youth. Beryl loved music and was a virtuoso steel guitar player, he played with Hawaiian groups throughout California in his spare time. He worked as an accountant for Howk Well Equipment and Fresno Consumer Ice Plant. He will be missed by all that knew him.
Service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, visitation will be from 5-9 PM on Wed., both at Colonial Chapel-Franklin & Downs. Remembrances can be made to a favorite charity.
