Born Jan. 13, 1937, in Westchester County, N.Y., the daughter of the late Clarence and Edith G. (Taylor) Cordes. A true Irishwoman, she was proud of her Irish heritage and loved her travels to Ireland. She loved playing cards with her friends and loved anything Irish, giraffes and Wizard of Oz.
Beryle was a member of the Falls United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School for 25 years. Since 2000, she has attended every church her daughter the Rev. Ginger has pastored. She never missed an event her grandchildren or great-grandchildren were involved in. She treasured time spent with family and friends. She was a member of the Red Hats Club of Pittston, the Social Club of Anthracite Apts. and the Bunko Card Club.
Surviving are her loving and caring daughter, Ginger, and son-in-law, Jack; daughter-in-law, Amy Kane; grandchildren, J.R. (Ashley), Ninarose, Annaliesa, Norahbelle Daubenhauser, Genevieve and Paula Remetta, Jenny (Frantony) Scimia and Robert W. Stover III; and four great-grandchildren, Joshua, Lillyona, Blake and Evan. Beryle is also survived by her ex-spouse, Robert W. Stover.
Beryle was preceded in death by her brother, William Cordes; her son, Bobby, on Feb. 23, 2013; and her daughter, Terri, on Jan. 30, 2020.
